May 2, 2026: The Day of the Blessing

Written by: Kenko Morikawa

On May 2, 2026, the Next Gen Mission missionaries had an opportunity to attend the HyoJeong Cheonju Blessing Ceremony. This day commemorates the celebration of the 66th anniversary of the Holy Wedding for the movement and holds a very special memory in some people’s hearts, as it was some people’s first time attending the Blessing!

The day started off bright and early, where the missionaries had to walk from one location to the other and really be able to see for themselves just how much True Parents had invested for every one of their children and our Heavenly Parents. While walking to the CheongAh Youth Camp (CYC) for breakfast, the missionaries who had never been to Cheongpyeong before were able to see the beautiful venue where the Blessing was going to take place. It was such a beautiful sight for some people who walked by it.

After eating some amazing breakfast, it was time for the missionaries to prepare their hearts towards the Blessing, especially because this is one that is a little different compared to every other. This would be the first Blessing without the Mother of Peace, Hak Ja Han Moon, spectating it. This is due to the circumstances and injustice she has been going through over the last couple of months. With our hearts aligned with the Only Begotten Daughter, the missionaries truly wanted to take this experience in for Her.

Once you stepped into the venue, you saw so many beautiful brothers and sisters walking around with smiles on their faces. There were even opportunities to see the couples themselves! As you’d walk inside and go to the actual space where it’s taking place, your breath would be taken away by just how beautiful the venue was. The spirit world within the room itself could be seen through every person’s love for one another, especially the couples who were excitedly waiting for the special occasion.

The ceremony had a proper schedule which consisted of congratulatory talks from different pastors and leaders within the movement, a main message from the pastor of the church in Korea, and eventually the Blessing of the couples. The messages given by the leaders were all powerful in their own individual ways, as they served to remind us that this Blessing is for our Mother, who isn’t theirs physically, but to really enjoy it for her to send all the love and gratitude we have in our hearts towards wherever she may be right at this moment.

After the Blessing, the missionaries received a lecture from Pastor Joshua Holmes from the LA Family Church. They learned the importance of knowing God's Dream of one family under God and the essence of Jesus, who was the closest man to achieve this dream prior to True Parents.

At the end, the missionaries were able to spend time together as they walked around the streets of CheongPyeong, and eat the food people were serving for the day at the market. In the end, they were able to offer this beautiful day up to our True Parents, who allowed this day to ever come in our lives.
