May 6, 2026: Final Day of the Rooted Workshop
Written by: Kenko Morikawa
On May 6, 2026, the missionaries, alongside participants of the Rooted Workshop, had a full day of adventure and reflection, as today was the last day of the Rooted Workshop. The day was filled with fun activities, with some powerful testimonies given by some of the participants to be able to offer this workshop up.
The morning started with a Hoon Dok Hae session together as Rooted at the courtyard, where we read about the importance of the Cheon Won Gung, which the missionaries were going to later today. It introduced the idea of the mind that True Parents have and the intentions behind the Cheon Won Gung.
After a good breakfast and laughs, they all gathered up at the lecture hall to start to understand the full value of the Cheon Won Gung by watching a lecture about its history by Rev. Dunkley. The video really allowed the missionaries to understand that the Cheon Won Gung is actually the home of God made by True Parents and how much True Parents really sacrificed to even establish a “home” for our Heavenly Parent. After this video, the missionaries prepared their hearts for their visit later today as they ate lunch.
After some lunch, some of the missionaries went to the Bird Park located a bit farther from the courtyard, where they were able to see some birds and many other animals to appreciate God's creation, while others took time to reflect on their experience thus far.
Around 3 PM, the missionaries hopped on the bus to the Cheon Won Gung and were astonished by the temple prepared by True Parents. As they walked inside, everyone was able to have the opportunity to walk around the museum made by True Parents for visitors. After some time inside, the visit ended with them being able to be outside and see True Parent creation for God and creating memories as one family under God.
Towards the end, Rooted was able to come together and offer this experience up by giving time for reflection and amazing testimonies, based on the experience they had throughout the workshop. The majority of the testimonies given were the impact they felt at the Paju Won with the True Family and how they felt rooted in their love with True Parents, while others went to their determination for Blessing 2027.
As testimonies came in, they were able to realize that there are so many more things to grow in their relationship, and gave a lot of people motivation to grow their hearts and become good husbands/wives for the future. Towards the end, the director of the workshop, Aunt Nadya, and NGM director Nobu Iwamoto gave some closing remarks to end it off. As the workshop ended, everyone was able to leave with stronger roots in their relationship with True Parents and God.
