May 12, 2026: Last Day in Korea!
Written By: SooAh Lee
On May 12, 2026, the NGM missionaries enjoyed their last day in Korea! Today, they had the opportunity to reflect on their upcoming Mission, make determinations with their teams, and soak up their last moments in Cheongpyeong.
The day started with breakfast, then a Chanyang session, where the missionaries were able to wake themselves up and prepare their hearts and minds for the day ahead.
They then had a short guidance given by staff Junta Naito, where he introduced the next portion of NGM, Mission 3: Comeback. The missionaries were returning to the same communities (for the most part) that they were in for Mission 3, hence the title. He also revealed the internal goal of “Place Heaven’s Will First” and talked about the importance of moving providential history forward, renewing the missionaries’ determination to make a lasting impact on their community.
The missionaries had a chance to gather in their community teams and talk about their determinations for the upcoming mission. That included their own personal goals regarding what they want to accomplish at their final community, but also how they could contribute to the overall group goal, internally and externally. They then had the opportunity to offer up what they shared to Heavenly Parent and True Parents at the Cheon Shim Won with their team.
After lunch, the missionaries had free time to explore Cheongpyeong. Some chose to spend quality time together at cafes and photo booths, while others decided to explore nature and hike on the numerous trails. This time allowed everyone to slow down and appreciate True Parents’ creation around them.
They then got to enjoy their last dinner together and close the day early at the Cheon Shim Won. After offering a 7-minute prayer inside about their Korea experience, the missionaries gathered outside and did three cheers of Eok Manseis to commemorate the end of the Korea Mission, but also the start of the next one. This Korea trip was packed with meaningful experiences, growth, and unforgettable memories that the missionaries will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
